Recharge your soul outdoors

This video by Tino Godina of Robot Uncle treats us to Tino and Rebecca Godina’s recent hike to Boulder Cave at Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Washington.  Woodland critters, breathtaking nature trails, and bubbling brooks, combined with Josh Woodward’s song “Orbit” in the background results in a very organic feel bursting with calm and content.  That’s the essence of summer, after all: the warm, sunny, and inviting days that encourage time outdoors and connecting with nature.
Although the summer months seem to fly by, there is a great benefit to recharging our bodies and mind, even if it’s for a short period of time.  As we revitalize ourselves, we can use this energy to cushion us through the longest, coldest months of the year, a time when many people feel drained or even depressed.  Read my blog Caring for Me: Carrying Summer through Cooler Months, to find out how to harvest this energy all year long.
